Study of Covid Death vs Vaccine with Tableau

It's been 2 years since the global pandemic started. Vaccination is treated as a mean way to help save lives. However, there are still people doubt the effectiveness of covid vaccination.

I carried out a small project of visualization of Death rate and Vaccination rate with Tableau. Here's the result. It is an interactive visualization. Thus, you can play around by clicking the graph below.

* The Dataset was collected from Our World In Data (31Jan,2022)

** In oder to make a fair comparison, the Death numbers before the introduction of vaccine in those countries were deducted.

Observations:

1.The Top Left graph showed the countries distribution by death and vaccination rate. We can obviously see that the trend line drops when the vaccination rate increased.

2. One of the main factors to affect the effectiveness of vaccine is the Age. From the Top Right graph, the percentage of population aged 65 years old of all the countries was showed. Europe countries consist of more aged population. When Europe was sorted out, the Top Left graph showed an even more obvious pattern of the effectiveness of the vaccination.

3. The bottom graph showed a countries list arranged by the vaccination rate. In general, a pattern of decreasing vaccination with soaring death rate was observed.

Vaccination is proven by the drug manufacturers that they can reduce death rate. And now, by looking at the earth's live data, we can also conclude that, vaccination can also effectively reduce people's death by Covid, especially in those countries with high aged population.
